Terms of Service
Last updated 8 August 2026
These terms govern your use of ReturnCall.ai, operated by nuCode Technologies Inc. ("we", "us"). By subscribing to or using the service, you agree to them.
1. The service
ReturnCall provides an AI receptionist that answers your business telephone, asks about the job, quotes a price range from pricing you supply, and books appointments into your calendar. It sends you a summary of each call.
2. Your account
You must give accurate account information and keep your login secure. You are responsible for what happens under your account, including anything your staff do. Tell us promptly at hello@returncall.ai if you think your account has been compromised.
3. Your responsibilities
- Keep your pricing, service area and business hours accurate and current.
- Hold whatever licences, insurance and certifications your trade requires.
- Honour bookings the receptionist makes on your behalf, or contact the customer promptly if you cannot.
- Use the service lawfully, and not to make unsolicited marketing calls.
4. Call recording
The service records and transcribes calls to your business. The receptionist discloses this to callers at the start of each call.
You are responsible for meeting the call-recording laws that apply to your business. Requirements differ by province and by country, and you should confirm that recording with the disclosure we provide is sufficient where you operate. We provide the disclosure; we cannot give you legal advice about it.
5. Quotes are estimates, not offers
The receptionist quotes a price range drawn from pricing you supply. A range is an estimate to set expectations. It is not a fixed price, not a binding quotation, and not a contract between you and the caller.
The final price is agreed between you and your customer. You remain responsible for the work you carry out and the price you ultimately charge.
6. Availability
We work to keep the service running continuously, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. The service depends on telephone networks and third-party providers we do not control. We may carry out maintenance, and will give notice where we reasonably can.
ReturnCall is not an emergency service. Do not rely on it to route life-safety emergencies. Callers with an emergency should contact the appropriate emergency number.
7. Fees and billing
- Subscriptions are billed in advance, monthly or annually, in Canadian dollars.
- Prices are exclusive of tax. Applicable sales tax is added at checkout.
- Each plan includes a monthly call allowance. Calls beyond it may incur additional charges, which we will make clear before they apply.
- Payments are handled by our payment processor. We do not receive or store your card details.
- Fees are non-refundable except where the law requires otherwise.
We may change our prices with at least 30 days' notice. If you do not accept a price change, you may cancel before it takes effect.
8. Trials and cancellation
Where a free trial is offered, it converts to a paid subscription at the end of the trial unless you cancel first. You can cancel at any time from your billing settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and you keep access until then.
9. Your data
Your business information, call recordings, transcripts and bookings remain yours. You grant us the licence needed to operate the service for you — to process, store and transmit that material.
We do not use your call recordings, transcripts or photos to train our own machine-learning models. How we handle personal information is set out in our Privacy Policy.
10. Liability
The service is provided "as is". To the fullest extent the law allows, we exclude implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.
We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including lost profits or lost business, whether or not we were told they were possible. This specifically includes missed calls, misheard details, incorrect bookings, or a booking the receptionist failed to make.
Our total liability for any claim is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.
Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
11. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate your account if you materially breach these terms, if your payment fails and stays unpaid, or if your use of the service is unlawful. Where the circumstances allow it, we will give notice and a chance to put things right.
You may terminate at any time by cancelling your subscription. On termination we delete your data as described in the Privacy Policy.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If a change materially affects your rights, we will email you at least 30 days beforehand. Continuing to use the service after a change takes effect means you accept it.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. The courts of Ontario have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute, and you and we both submit to them.
